The operation, which involved search warrants executed across the Federal District and six states, aimed to dismantle a group accused of running a fraudulent online gambling platform.
According to the investigation, the scheme allegedly utilized social media influencers to attract users. The group reportedly moved approximately R$ 11 million through its operations. One individual under investigation was found to have an average daily transaction volume of R$ 48,000.
The coordinated police action took place in Goiás, Maranhão, Paraíba, Rio de Janeiro, and Bahia, in addition to the Federal District. The operation highlights ongoing efforts by Brazilian authorities to combat illegal online gambling and financial fraud.
