Elderly Rescued from Clandestine Clinic in Cachoeira do SulAuthorities in Cachoeira do Sul have rescued three elderly individuals from a clandestine clinic operating under irregular conditions. The establishment was shut down following the discovery.
The rescued individuals include an 84-year-old woman from the municipality and two 60-year-old men. The men, diagnosed with mental disorders, were originally from Porto Alegre and Santa Maria.
All three were found living in precarious situations at the facility. The case is currently under investigation and may be classified as mistreatment.
The clandestine clinic was found to be operating without proper authorization and keeping its residents in conditions that raised serious concerns for their health and safety.
