Red Bull F1 driver Isack Hadjar selects his combined PSG and Bayern Munich XI, choosing Manuel Neuer in goal over Matvei Safonov ahead of their Champions League semi-final second leg.

Red Bull Formula One driver Isack Hadjar has shared his picks for a combined all-star team featuring players from Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich. The exercise comes as the two European giants prepare for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final clash in the 2025/2026 season.

In a rapid-fire question-and-answer session, Hadjar was asked to choose between key players from both squads. His first decision was in goal, where he selected veteran Bayern captain Manuel Neuer over PSG's Russian goalkeeper Matvei Safonov. The choice highlights Neuer's enduring reputation as one of the world's best shot-stoppers.

Moving to the defense, Hadjar showed a preference for PSG's right flank, picking Ashraf Hakimi over Josip Stanišić. For the center-back positions, he went with a mix of experience and current form, selecting PSG's legendary captain Marquinhos and Bayern's Jonathan Tah. On the left side of defense, he favored PSG's William Pacho over Bayern's Kim Min-jae.

The midfield selections revealed a strong lean towards PSG's current engine room. Hadjar chose PSG's Vitinha, praising his incredible current form, over Bayern's versatile Joshua Kimmich. He also selected PSG's João Neves over Bayern's Aleksandar Pavlović. For the attacking midfield role, he picked PSG's Warren Zaïre-Emery, acknowledging his own bias as a Frenchman, over the highly talented Jamal Musiala.

In the forward line, Hadjar's choices were split between flair and proven finishing. He selected PSG's Ousmane Dembélé on the right wing, though he quickly added that Bayern's Michael Olise is "very, very good." On the left, he went with PSG's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia over Luis Díaz. For the central striker role, he chose Bayern's prolific Harry Kane, lauding his "insane finishing" ability.

The combined XI, as selected by Hadjar, features a heavy PSG influence in midfield and attack, while Bayern's representation is anchored by the iconic Neuer in goal and the clinical Kane up front. The exercise offers a fun perspective on the talent pool available to both managers ahead of a decisive European encounter.
