A hairstylist in São Paulo was stabbed by a client dissatisfied with a hair treatment. The victim is shaken and demands justice, calling the attack attempted murder.

A routine hair appointment in São Paulo's Barra Funda neighborhood escalated into a violent attack, leaving a hairstylist injured and demanding accountability. Eduardo Ferrari, a professional working at the Casa Ferrare salon, was stabbed by a client, Laís Gabriela Barbosa da Cunha, 27, following a dispute over a hair service performed about a month prior.

The incident began when Laís returned to the salon on a Tuesday afternoon without an appointment, reportedly agitated and demanding a refund. According to witnesses and the police report, she had been sending threatening messages to the salon's WhatsApp for days after initially expressing satisfaction with her mechas and texturization procedure. Staff stated she had even posted positive before-and-after photos on social media right after the service.

Security camera footage captured the moment Laís, while speaking with Eduardo as he attended another client, suddenly produced a knife from her bag and stabbed him in the back. Colleagues and security personnel quickly intervened, subduing her and disarming her. Eduardo sustained a superficial back wound and underwent a forensic medical examination.

Even after being restrained, Laís continued to issue threats, allegedly stating that Eduardo "would die anyway" if the money wasn't returned and that she could send others to harm him. Police were called and arrived to find her already immobilized by salon staff. She confessed to the crime at the scene.

The case was initially registered as bodily injury and threats. However, Eduardo Ferrari feels the severity of the attack has been minimized. He expressed deep distress, recounting being told at the police station that the case "wouldn't lead to anything" because he lacked influential connections. He insists the attack should be investigated as attempted homicide.

"I am shaken. This cannot go unpunished," Eduardo stated in a video sent to TV Globo. He recounted that Laís had left the salon satisfied after her original appointment, only to later claim her fringe looked like a cartoon character and that she had suffered a "chemical cut."

The suspect's defense has not been located for comment. The case has been forwarded to the Special Criminal Court (Jecrim) as it involves crimes considered to have lower offensive potential, a classification the victim strongly contests given the use of a weapon and the explicit death threats.
