Two Arrested in Piracicaba Linked to Comando Vermelho FactionA joint operation by the Public Ministry (MP) and the Military Police (PM) of Piracicaba resulted in the arrest of two men investigated for involvement with the criminal faction Comando Vermelho (CV) on Wednesday morning, June 6.
The arrest warrants were executed in the cities of Paulínia and Rio Claro, both in São Paulo state. The suspects are accused of involvement in homicides and in the logistics of weapons and ammunition used in criminal activities.
The operation, named "Red Flag 2," involved the execution of judicial arrest and search and seizure warrants issued against the two individuals for their alleged participation in a criminal organization.
Several specialized units participated in the operation, including the Interior Policing Command Nine (CPI-9), the 10th Special Police Actions Battalion (10º BAEP), and the Special Action Group for Combating Organized Crime (Gaeco) of the Piracicaba Public Ministry.
According to investigators, the arrested individuals have a direct connection to the criminal group known as "Bonde do Magrelo," which maintains ties to the Comando Vermelho faction. The investigation indicated their involvement in serious crimes, particularly homicides, as well as their role in the logistics of weapons and ammunition for illicit actions.
