The Amanhecer stage at Barretos' Festa de Peão has a history of launching sertanejo superstars like Luan Santana and Ana Castela. In 2026, it will host the winners of the 'ÉPra Cantar' contest.

The Amanhecer stage at the Festa de Peão de Barretos is more than just a performance area; it's a legendary launchpad for sertanejo music. This platform has been the first major stepping stone for artists who later became national icons. In 2026, the tradition continues as the stage prepares to introduce the next generation of talent through the winners of the 'ÉPra Cantar' cultural contest.

Before headlining massive arenas, stars like Luan Santana and Ana Castela first captivated audiences on this very stage. Luan Santana's journey began in 2008 when a homemade CD he made for friends spread beyond his circle. He famously paid R$3,000 to perform on what was then the 'Esplanada' stage, a pivotal investment that set his career ablaze. A year later, he exploded onto the scene and became the festival's first ambassador in 2010.

Ana Castela, the sensation of agro pop, made her Barretos debut on the Amanhecer in 2022, the same year her hit 'Pipoco' became a phenomenon. Her emotional return to the main stage in 2023, complete with a giant horse prop, highlighted the stage's role as a career accelerator. She declared the sertanejo agro pop movement was "here to stay," a prediction the industry has confirmed.

Other major names have followed this path. Luan Pereira also debuted on the Amanhecer in 2022 and was moved to tears during his main stage premiere in 2024. Feminejo icon Lauana Prado closed the Amanhecer lineup in 2019 and later called her main stage debut a "childhood dream." Even established star Eduardo Costa has returned to the Amanhecer, with a surprise 2025 appearance leading to a confirmed slot for 2026.

Pedro Muzeti, director of the organizing club 'Independentes', confirms the stage's growing stature. He stated that each year, the Amanhecer expands in its physical structure, the number of shows, and the prominence of the artists it features. For the 71st edition, the stage will also host non-sertanejo acts like Belo and Pixote, showcasing its broad appeal.

The stage's name, meaning 'Dawn,' is literal—its programming runs through the night until sunrise. Since 2024, it has been expanded to 82.8 meters wide, slightly wider than the main Estádio stage, to accommodate larger productions. This evolution ensures the Amanhecer remains a critical and ever-more impressive fixture in Latin America's largest rodeo festival.
