The Instituto Queiroz Jereissati opens 100 spots for its free Academia Digital Ismart program, offering academic support and tech training for public school students in Ceará. Applications are open until the end of June.

The Instituto Queiroz Jereissati (IQJ) has officially opened applications for its new educational initiative, the Academia Digital Ismart program. This opportunity targets students in the Brazilian state of Ceará, specifically those enrolled in the 7th, 8th, or 9th grades of public schools. The program aims to bridge educational gaps by providing free academic reinforcement and cutting-edge technological training.

A total of 100 spots are available for eligible candidates. To qualify, applicants must be students at a public school in Ceará and come from a family with a household income of no more than two minimum wages. The program is a collaborative effort between the IQJ and the Instituto Social para Motivar, Apoiar e Reconhecer Talentos (Ismart), which operates similar digital academies across Brazil.

The curriculum is designed to be comprehensive. Selected students will receive focused tutoring in core subjects like Portuguese, mathematics, and essay writing. Beyond traditional academics, the program places a strong emphasis on future-ready skills, including training in programming and artificial intelligence tools. Participants will also gain access to mentorship opportunities and preparation for major national exams such as the Enem and other university entrance tests.

While the core instruction is delivered online, allowing flexibility for students across the state, the partnership with IQJ adds a valuable in-person component. Students selected from Ceará will have the chance to participate in immersive, face-to-face sessions, enhancing their learning experience and networking opportunities.

The application process is entirely digital and can be completed from any device, including smartphones and computers. It involves several stages, including logic reasoning tests, profile questionnaires, a video introduction, and knowledge assessments in Portuguese and mathematics. A key part of the selection is a four-week immersive experience that simulates what studying at the Digital Academy is actually like.

Successful candidates will not only receive academic support but also have the possibility of securing scholarships for English language studies. The program offers long-term guidance, with the potential for continued mentorship through high school. Applications are being accepted exclusively through the program's official website and will remain open until the end of June. The final selection results are scheduled to be announced in November, with the mentorship phase set to commence in 2027.
