Sistema Comércio MS hosts free Semana S from May 11-17, 2026, with workshops, lectures by Gustavo Cerbasi & Marcelo Tas, and a Michel Teló show across Mato

The Sistema Comércio MS is set to host its annual 'Semana S' event, a week-long series of free activities scheduled for May 11 through 17, 2026. The initiative will mobilize units of Sesc, Senac, Fecomércio, and business unions across the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, offering a diverse program of courses, lectures, cultural events, a musical show, and leisure activities to the public.

The main opening in Campo Grande will take place on May 15 at the Senac Hub Academy, with a strong focus on professional qualification and innovation. The day's schedule features over 30 workshops covering fields such as beauty, health, management, information technology, communication, and gastronomy. That same evening, attendees can hear from national speakers: Gustavo Cerbasi will discuss financial intelligence for business at 6 PM, followed by Marcelo Tas speaking on communication in the digital acceleration era at 7 PM.

"The Semana S is an opportunity to show, in practice, how professional qualification transforms lives. When we bring courses, workshops, and lectures to different cities, we are expanding access to knowledge and preparing people for a job market that increasingly demands updates," stated Jordana Duenha, the regional director of Senac MS.

The programming on May 15 also includes sessions tailored for the productive sector. Workshops will cover topics like Financial Management for Small Businesses, Artificial Intelligence for HR and Managers, NR1 and Risk Management, Financial Management in the Hotel Sector, and Management of Medical Leaves for CLT Employees. A panel discussing the behind-the-scenes realities of entrepreneurship in daily commerce is also on the agenda.

"The program was designed for entrepreneurs who need to improve their business management. These are practical themes, such as finance, risks, and the use of technology, in addition to discussions about the real challenges of commerce. It's direct content that helps business owners make better decisions," highlighted Edison Araújo, president of the Sistema Comércio MS.

On May 16, the activities expand in scope and move to the Parque das Nações Indígenas. The day will offer free services to the population, including children's recreation, massage therapy, physical activities, oral health guidance, bioimpedance testing, and social actions. Expositions from partner companies of the Sesc Benefits Club and itinerant workshops, including gastronomy and technology demonstrations, are also planned.

"The proposal of Semana S is to integrate education, culture, health, and leisure into an accessible program for the population. Sesc has prepared activities for different audiences, from well-being actions to cultural and sports presentations, reinforcing the social role of the Sistema Comércio," said Vitor Mello, regional director of Sesc MS.

The cultural program on Saturday evening will feature a performance by the Orquestra Jovem Sesc MS at 6 PM, followed by a free concert with singer Michel Teló at 7 PM. The Sesc Mesa Brasil will also have a collection point for non-perishable food donations, which will be distributed to families in vulnerable situations registered with the program.

The week's events continue on May 17 with another edition of the Sesc Running Circuit, the Horto Florestal stage, featuring a 3km walk and a 5km run. The start is scheduled for 7 AM in front of the Senac Hub Academy. Registrations for the race are paid and can be made on the website kmaisclube.com.br, with commerce workers receiving a 10% discount.

Additionally, there will be a prize draw for attendees, including vouchers for the Terra das Águas restaurant, other special items, and the highlight: a draw for a brand-new motorcycle. The Semana S will also feature programming in the interior of the state, at Sesc and Senac units in Aquidauana, Dourados, Ponta Porã, Três Lagoas, and Bonito, with courses, workshops, services, and cultural activities to broaden public access to the Sistema Comércio's services.
