The crime occurred on April 21st on Avenida Rui Barbosa.
According to the police report, the suspect confessed to the crime, claiming he acted out of desperation. He stated that his house in the Grajaú neighborhood was interdicted by Civil Defense due to heavy rains in February, which left him overwhelmed with debts.
