Teen Suspect Arrested in Fatal Stabbing of Girlfriend in GoiásA teenager has been arrested on suspicion of fatally stabbing his girlfriend in the municipality of Ouvidor, in the southwest region of Goiás, Brazil. The crime occurred on Monday, the 4th.
According to police, the suspect, whose name was withheld due to being a minor, stated that he and the victim were drinking when an argument began. He claimed the victim picked up a knife and he restrained her, then took the knife from her and struck her in the neck.
After the incident, the suspect fled to Corumbaíba, where he has relatives. Police apprehended him there and found two mobile phones in his possession, one of which belonged to the victim.
The suspect was taken into custody and transferred to the Civil Police station for further investigation.
