Man Arrested After Throwing Rock at Police Car in FortalezaA 29-year-old man experiencing homelessness was arrested in Fortaleza after throwing a rock at an unmarked police vehicle, according to a statement from the Secretaria da Segurança Pública e Defesa Social (Public Security and Social Defense Secretariat).
The incident occurred near the rotary on Avenida Aguanambi in the José Bonifácio neighborhood. The rock completely destroyed the windshield of the police car. Fortunately, no occupants of the vehicle sustained serious injuries.
The individual was apprehended in the Fátima neighborhood and taken to the 25th Police Precinct. He was formally charged with damage to public property and bodily harm.
