UEFA Nations League

The UEFA Nations League is a biennial international football competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the member associations of UEFA. Launched in 2018, it was conceived to replace meaningless friendly matches with competitive fixtures, providing more meaningful games for all 55 UEFA nations and a clearer pathway to major tournament qualification. The competition's innovative format divides teams into four leagues (A, B, C, and D) based on their UEFA ranking, with promotion and relegation between them.
